Intent first, then AI query expansion with synonyms, then hybrid semantic + keyword retrieval, reranking and a grounded answer.
Ingestion & Chunking
Docs, PDFs and site data cleaned, chunked with overlap and enriched with metadata.
Intent Understanding
Every query is classified for intent first — FAQ, lookup, action or small talk — so the right path runs.
Query Expansion + Synonyms
AI rewrites the query and adds synonyms/domain terms so Hinglish and short queries still hit.
Hybrid Retrieval
Vector (semantic) search fused with keyword BM25 search, merged and de-duplicated.
Rerank & Filter
Cross-encoder reranking plus score thresholds — weak context is dropped, not guessed.
Grounded Answer
Answer generated strictly from retrieved context with citations and a clean fallback.
